GRUNDstück rückt die bewegte Figur als stadtgestalterischen Parameter in den Vorder- und/oder HinterGRUND. Im Spiel der Stadt verhält sich der tanzende Körper zur ihn umgebenden Architektur und ergänzt die städtische Choreographie so durch seine Anwesenheit oder aber weist auf seine Abwesenheit hin. Die Videoarbeit beleuchtet, wie der Tanz (in) der Stadt sichtbar gemacht werden kann und hinterfragt gleichsam, wer oder was im Stadtbild wann und auf welche Weise sichtbar wird.

Die Videoarbeit ist 2022 im Rahmen der zweiwöchigen Residenz DIR-DANCE IN RESICENCE BRANDENBURG entstanden.

GRUNDstück focuses on the moving figure as a parameter of urban design that moves between foreground and background. The dancing body relates to the surrounding architecture as part of the city performance, complementing the urban choreography with its presence or bringing it to the fore with its absence. The video work throws light on the visibility of the city’s own dance and asks who and what is visible, how and when.

GRUNDstück was created in 2022 as part of the two-week residency DIR-DANCE IN RESIDENCE BRANDENBURG.
